Booking Policy
Please Read Before Booking
Thank you for choosing **EJ’s Hair World**. We’re excited to welcome you and are committed to providing you with a professional, comfortable, and enjoyable salon experience. Please review our booking policies before scheduling your appointment.
1. Health & Safety
If you are feeling unwell or have been exposed to a contagious illness, please reschedule your appointment. This helps us protect the health of our clients and team.
2. Guests
You’re welcome to bring a drink or light snack to your appointment. Due to limited space, only **one accompanying guest** is permitted.
3. Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time for your appointment.
Up to 30 minutes late may incur a $30 late fee, unless you notify us in advance and receive approval.
Arriving 40–60 minutes late may result in your appointment being shortened, rescheduled, or cancelled.
4. Appointment Deposit
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Your deposit will be applied toward the total cost of your service and remains valid for 30 days if you need to reschedule.
5. Payment
The remaining balance is due on the day of your appointment.
6. Hair Preparation
Please arrive with your hair:
* Clean
* Thoroughly blow-dried
* Completely detangled
* Free of oils, gels, or styling products
You may also add Wash & Blow-Dry or Take Down Services when booking your appointment.
If we need to detangle or blow-dry your hair before beginning, an additional $20 fee will apply. For health and safety reasons, we reserve the right to decline service if the scalp is excessively dirty or irritated.
7. Hair Extensions
Expression Braiding Hair is included with most braided styles.
The following services do not include hair extensions:
* Butterfly Locs
* Boho Braids/Curls
* Passion Twists
* Spring Twists
* Mini Twists
* Soft Locs
* Faux Locs
Available colours include: 1, 1B, 2, 4, 27, 30, 33, 350, Burgundy, 700 Series and 613.
If your preferred colour is unavailable, you’ll need to provide it. Two colours are included; additional colours may incur an extra charge.
8. Short Hair
If your hair is very short, please contact us before booking. Some styles require additional time and product, which may result in an extra charge. Failure to consult us before booking may result in your appointment being cancelled and your deposit forfeited.
9. Extra Thick or Special Hair Types
Clients with very fine long hair, exceptionally thick hair, Spanish hair, or white hair may incur an additional charge of **$20–$50**, depending on the style and time required.
10. Service Satisfaction
Your satisfaction is important to us.
If you’re unhappy with your hairstyle, please contact us within **48 hours** of your appointment so we can review and resolve the issue. Requests received after 48 hours may not qualify for complimentary adjustments.
11. Photos & Videos
By booking an appointment, you agree that photos or videos of your hairstyle may be taken for our portfolio and social media.
If you prefer **not** to have your face shown, simply let us know before your appointment, and we’ll be happy to respect your preference.
